My mother has returned to the blogosphere after about seven weeks on the road with her hubby! On her blog (lovingly updated with 3 more of her favorite gospel tracks and upgraded to spammer-crushing Movable Type 2.661), I've brought her up to speed on some of the changes in our world since she's been gone (all except for our proposed Blog Family Reunion), but y'all can tell it probably better than I can, in your own way. Please, stop by and show your love.
It's good to see others bringing their beloved family members up into this virtual space, too! My girl Lynne mentions her mother's upcoming birthday on her most recent entry and good buddy Ronn chimes in, mentioning his father's online record shop. And not too long ago, Philippe shared a loving memory of his oldest brother, gone too soon, Bernie recently mentioned some of his family's challenges before the holidays, and Darrell waxed so eloquently (y'all don't even KNOW) about our family of friends. It feels really good to see such evidence of the love that surrounds and affirms us!
And speaking of families, tomorrow will mark the launch of The National Black Justice Coalition's website. If you believe that same-sex couples deserve the same basic automatic legal privileges rights given to any heterosexual couple, then go and lend your support.
